Safety + Health Procedures

Covid-19 Preparedness Plan:

Mask Policy - All adults on the the premises are required to wear a mask while indoors. Teachers will only take their masks off for mealtimes and outdoor play. Children will be required to wear face coverings during indoor play. Students will not wear masks at nap/rest, snacks, mealtimes, and outdoor play.

Screening - We will no longer require students to be screened each day for Covid-19 but will monitor students throughout the day and inform caregivers of any symptoms if they occur.

High risk and vulnerable populations - Extra precaution will be taken for those entering the home that are of high risk. If you forgot a mask for yourself, or child, please let a teacher know, and we will get you one of our extra masks right away. Hand sanitizer will continue to be available on the parent sign in desk as you enter the classroom. Sign in/sign out pens will continue to be sanitized each day.

Frequent handwashing – Teachers and students will be required to wash hands after using the bathroom and before mealtimes. Teachers will also wash hands before serving snacks and handing out lunches.

Cleaning and Disinfecting – All surfaces, tables, chairs, doorknobs, etc. will be washed daily. Classroom toys will be sanitized weekly. All items listed above that come into contact with someone suspected to have COVID-19 will be washed thoroughly and disinfected immediately.

Air circulation and ventilation- Air purifiers have been placed throughout the classroom to help with purification and ventilation.

Meals and snack times - Students will have their own designated table spot when eating indoors. Tables and chairs will be disinfected daily.

Handling and Exposure of Bodily Fluids - Providing a clean and healthy environment for staff and students is extremely important. Any bodily fluid clean up and disposal will be done with gloves and cleaned, disinfected, and disposed of as soon as possible.
